"The role of volunteers at Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center is extremely important. As NBSTCC volunteers, you will create a link between the public and our conservation efforts through education and research".

Youth Development Program

     “The UF/IFAS Extension Florida 4-H Youth Development Program uses a learn-by-doing approach to help youth gain the knowledge and skills they need to be responsible, productive citizens.  This mission is accomplished by creating safe and inclusive learning environments, involving caring adults, and utilizing the expertise and resources of the University of Florida and the nationwide land grant university system.” This program relies of volunteers to function. One of the ways to volunteer is to become a summer camp counselor or to simply help the Santa Rosa County Extension Agent with everyday tasks.

Tutouring Program

“Learn to Read of Northwest Florida offers “New Tutor Training Seminars” for volunteers to become certified in the tutoring process. As a new tutor, you will be working with the only literacy program in Escambia or Santa Rosa County that provides free, one-on-one adult literacy instruction. Call our office to schedule a new tutor training session.”


Location: Pensacola

Minimum age: Graduated 18

Volunteer Skills: Punctuality, High School Graduate, Proficient in spelling, tutor
